Hace ya más de 30 años se publicó “Crónicas de Motel” de Sam Shepard, una road-novel que bebía de los viejos beatniks. Aventuras, libertad y carreteras infinitas se fundían con la mirada de un joven que relataba sobre todo lo que había a su alrededor; moteles, vías de tren, soledad y un duro relato familiar final.

“Cayendo por mares silenciosos” es el primer disco de
Motel 3. Comienza con “El fin de la t.v” un psych rock lleno de
esperanza, donde la carretera te dirige al más allá. Continúa el exorcismo con “Fuego cruzado”, muralla sónica de alto voltaje. Hipnóticos, oníricos, los temas se van sucediendo; “Cayendo por mares silenciosos”, pop cristalino en estado puro.“La hermandad de la uva”, psychoblues arenoso y etílico. También hay lugar para viajes hacía el mantra salvaje;“ Visión ciega” ó “Camina siempre Conmigo” con Paco Loco al órgano Vox, dan fe de ello , y, dotan de una nueva dimensión al género instrumental con “Bolero de 2 dandys borrachos” y “Autostop”, del sonido west al surf creciente con loops. Cruce de caminos entre el psych anglosajón actual y el espíritu de los Surfin`Bichos.

Motel Chronicles by Sam Shepard -a road-novel that draws of the old beatniks- was published over 30 years ago now. Adventure, freedom and endless highways that merged with the sight of a young man who would describe everything around him: the motels, the railways, the loneliness… and a harsh family tale.

Cayendo por mares silenciosos is the first record by Motel 3. Starting with “El fin de la TV” -a kind of psych hopeful rock- you´ll be driven by the road further and beyond. The exorcism continues with “Fuego cruzado”, a high-voltage sonic rampart. Hypnotic, oneiric and
mesmerising atmospheres come with “Cayendo por mares silenciosos”, a crystalline pop song in its purest form. Moving on we find “La hermandad de la uva”, an ethylic and sandy psycho-blues.
There’s also space for trips to wild mantras: “Visión ciega” or “Camina siempre Conmigo”,with Paco Loco playing the Vox are a proof of it, providing the instrumental genre with a new dimension in songs like “Bolero de 2 dandys borrachos” and “Autostop”. The trip will lead you from west sound to increasing loop surf rock: a crossroad between the current anglo-saxon psych and the spirit of Surfin’ Bichos.

Recorded at Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) with Paco Loco, the record has been mixed and mastered in the Moriarty Studios (Almería) by Manuel Valdés and Gorka U.R. from February to April 2013. Cayendo por mares silenciosos has been released by Sam Records, a record label in progress that provides an outlet for the band’s workpieces. Besides, Clifford Records collaborates on the promotion and distribution stage.
